The Floating Match

 The Effect:       You place a wooden match or other small object (supplied by you or from a spectator) on a playing card. Suddenly, mysteriously the match begins to levitate off the surface of the card!  Soon it is floating a good distance above it, so much so that you can produce another playing card and slide it underneath the match!  Then with a magic word from you, the match gently returns to the card where it can be instantly handed out (or returned if you borrowed it from a spectator).

 What it is:     Internationally Famous Magician Philip Morris (it says so right on the Instructions!) presents his Cheek to Cheek mystifying card trick. Seriously, Phil Morris is a legend in the Magic business and many a magician was started down the road by something he did.  The Effect:     You produce a deck of cards and deliberately mix them up, half face up half face down.  An audience member selects any face card while you look away and then places it face down in the deck.

Now, how to find it?  

You inquire the name of the card you are to find... and then without doing anything more than turning over the untouched deck... a spread of the cards reveals only one card face up now: theirs!  In an instant the whole mixed up deck is now all face down with the exception of the chosen card.  Powerfully impressive magic indeed!
